A Worthy Ruler

The seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdom of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 11:15.

Christ coming to this world will not only be a reality it will be a spectacular event. For all those who look for a world where righteousness and truth prevails to them this will be a joy for his coming will indeed usher in the reign of Justice, righteousness and peace. The Psalmist say let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice. Before the Lord: for he cometh to judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth. Psalm 96:11-13.

Many have looked for the coming of the messiah, alas many have fallen asleep, the fact that they have died does not mean that Christ will not come. John in the book of Revelation says "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all the kindreds of the earth shall wail. Revelation 1:7.

One of the promise that Christ made while on earth concerning his return to earth can be found in the book of John 14:1-3. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Jesus knew that the conditions of the world would cause many to become anxious and fearful and so he lovingly gave us peace; as John 14:27 reminds us...Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let no your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The apostle Paul said In 1 Thessalonians 4:16. The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Soon the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord
and of his Christ and he shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 11:15

Dear friends the word of the Lord is sure, whether we believe it or not heaven and earth will pass away but the word of the Lord will not. So today if you hear his voice, and as he speaks to you through nature, or friends harden not your heart. Jesus loves you and he wants to save you. Why not accept his invitation today? He says, "Give me your heart and I will give you my father's kingdom."
