The Second Coming Of Christ

The coming of the Lord can be found all over the Bible.  Although we see many are skeptical about the return of Christ the scripture can be trusted. It was accurate on the first coming of Christ and you can be sure it will be just as accurate on his second return.

Various terms are used to depict the coming of Christ, in the constantly recurring predictions of the Second Coming of Christ a number of Greek words are used having distinct meaning. Ten leading Greek terms used are: Parousia - "The coming of the Lord draweth nigh" (James 5:8).
Erchomai ---- "Occupy till I come" (Luke 19:13)
Apokalupto --- "When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed." (2 Thessalonians 1:7).
Epiphaneia --- "The appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 6:14)
Phaneroo --- "When the chief Shepherd shall appear" (1 Peter 5:4)
Prosopon---- " From the presence of the Lord (2 Thessalonians 1:19).
Analuo --- "He will return from the wedding" (Luke 12:36)
Hupostrepho --- To receive ......... a kingdom, and to return (Luke 19:12)
Ehistemi ---- "That day come upon you unawares" (Luke 21:34)
Heko -- "Hold fast till I come" (Revelation 2:25)

Jesus will come the Second Time, Jesus himself promised to come again. "I will come again," He assured his disciples (John 14:3) and Paul the apostle declared that He would "appear the second time" (Hebrew 9:28). The Saviour adds the further thought, "I will come again, and receive you unto myself" (John 14:3).

The Second Coming of Christ will be a visible and audible one; In the book of Revelation 1:7 it states, "Behold he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him. This climatic event will certainly be visible to all. In (1 Corinthians 1:7) it says "Unto them that look for him" that He appears "without sin unto salvation. (Hebrew 9:28)

For those who refuse to believe and accept Christ he will come again, only we read that then "all the tribes of the earth shall mourn and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:30; Mark 13:26; Luke 21:27).

Christ coming shall be audible, it will not be a quiet affair as some people say Christ comes with the accompanying sound of a trumpet: "the last trump" (1 Corinthians 15:52) " the trump of God," "a shout" (1 Thessalonians 4:16) The great sound of a trumpet (Matthew 24:31)

When Jesus returns he does not come alone. Celestial beings comes with him "The son of man shall come with his angels" (Matthew 16:27) Mark calls them holy angels (Mark 8:38) and Paul his mighty angels (2 Thessalonians 1:7)

Based on the Scriptures the Second Coming of Christ will not only be visible but it will be audible and glorious. My friends what are you waiting for to accept Jesus as your personal Saviour, he says if you believe and is baptized you will be saved. Give him your life today. He has gone to prepare a beautiful place for you, a place where no sorrow can mar, no death can intrude, nor thief enter to destroy, and Jesus loves you!  Why not make him your friend today. He will save you. Trust him.
