Signs The Blind Can See

 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”(Matthew 24:3) Jesus answered them saying " Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. Many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:11-12,14).

Warning to Rich Oppressors

Christ listed other signs that would warn us of his return He said. "Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.  Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.

Patience in Suffering

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.  You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. (James 5:1-8).

The word of God continues...But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,  without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—  having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. (2 Timothy 3:1-5),

It was Lord Hugh Cecil who remarked. "This is an age of great spiritual crisis. All around can be seen the marks of great anxiety, in some countries great apostasy." It is time for us to take God at His words, all his promises are true and will come to pass. Today if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
