Christ Is The Truth

The gospel of Jesus is a gospel of living and doing. If it were not this it would not voice the Eternal Truth. It invites men to shake off sin, and promises, as a result, joy and blessedness and perfect peace.  As our Example, we have One who is all and in all, the chiefest among ten thousand, Jesus Christ, His excellency is beyond comparison. His Kingdom is perfect trust, perfect knowledge, perfect peace. . . no sin can enter there.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6.

Christ is the truth. His words are truth, and they have a deeper significance than appears on the surface. All the sayings of Christ have value. Minds that are quickened by the Holy Spirit will discern the value of these sayings. They will discern the precious gems of truth.  No theories and speculations formed by men will ever lead us to an understanding of God's Word.

The signs by which those who follow Truth is known and are unmistakable Jesus says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. You may easily know whether you are a child of Truth, the Bible says search the scriptures for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they who testify of me. (John 5:39-47).

The priests and Pharisees thought they were doing great things as teachers, by putting their own interpretation upon the Word of God; but Christ said of them, "Ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God" (Mark 12:24). He charged them with the guilt of "teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" (chap. 7:7). Though they were the teachers of the oracles of God, though they were supposed to understand His Word, they were not doers of the Word. Satan had blinded their eyes that they should not see its true import. Unless you make Truth the object of your affection, then you can have no peace with God. For God is a Spirit and all 'who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth'
